It's always sad to hear about new animals that are close to extinction. But I think this articles are necessary to bring awareness to the problem. And they use this word when they are saying what things are not leading this cat to extinction.

Forever young?

This article talks about the new idea of transferring your consciousness to an artificial body so you could live forever. I think that years ago I would be fascinated with the idea. But now I'm not thrilled. This is because, on a Netflix series called Hemlock Grove Dr. Johaan Pryce does exactly this. And at the end the results were not good. And you can say that was totally fiction, but really who knows what would happen.  I guess we could find out on the future.

The word I didn't understand is cryogenically. It means that it's suitable to cryogenic storage that relates to low temperature. They use this word to describe how they would storage your brain.

Serena Williams and Amy Schumer's stunning portraits shot by Annie Leibovitz

Annie Leibovitz is an amazing photographer that is mainly know for her portraits. This time she shot naked portraits of Serena Williams and Amy Schumer. And I think this portraits really reveal that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. And I find it immensely courageous that this women can pose nude  in front of millions of people. I also love how Amy can make fun of herself and still be confident with her body. And I think every girl's role model should be someone that inspires them to be themselves and be confident.

The phrase I didn't understand was scantily clad. It means undressed. And they used this phrase to describe the models  that Annie Leibovitz shot.

Also I have a love/hate relationship with Snape, so it's always good to know more about him. The word I didn't understand was dichotomy. It means contradictory qualities. And she used this word to describe Snape.

Live Young Die Free

Teen Vogue premiered Fletcher's new song Live Young Die Free.

'Live Young Die Free' is about living life with no regrets whatsoever because I wouldn't want to have it any other way." Fletcher said.

I think songs with this type of meanings are great because they inspire you to be the best you can be and to live the best life you could possibly live.  One word I didn't understand was spitfire. It means someone that it's wild and free. An I think that word totally embodies Fletcher.

Little Mix for Teen Vogue

On the Teen Vogue's interview with Little Mix the girls talk about their upcoming album, girl power, friendship, being weird, and breakups. Apart from having a great style, this girls really transmit girl power through their music, and that's one thing I love about them. And also that they are not afraid of  having fun and being themselves. A word I didn't understand was crock. It means nonsense. Perry use this word when describing the pressure of being "perfect".

It means an origin, creation, or beginning. They used this word when talking about how maybe life has originated in a different way than it has on earth.

I really was into finding out what's dislexia about. Because I remember that when I was little some adults would tell me dislexia didn't really existed and it was all invented. Now I think they were just ignorant. And watching this video could really help, so they could understand dislexia a little bit better. A word I didn't understand was phonological. It means the study of the distribution and patterning of speech sounds in a language and the tactic rules governing pronunciation. They used this word when they started to describe what dislexia is. They said dislexia is caused because of a problem with the phonological process on the brain.

While I was watching a video of what is synesthesia one example came up and I didn't understand it. On a card it appeared the word  phoneme. It is the smallest phonetic unit in a language that is capable of conveying a distinction in meaning.
I love watching this kind of videos, I find them very interesting. I wish I had synesthesia because it sound like the coolest thing ever. Even though I'm pretty sure that if I went with my parents and said "I think I have synesthesia" they wouldn't believe me.

Photosynthesis by Frank Turner

The lyrics of this song are amazing. I'm not a big fan of the song perhaps, but what it says resonates so much with my thoughts lately about life and whats ahead of me. Now that I'm closer to make the decision of what university I'm applying and more important which career I'm choosing. But ultimately I think the most important thing is to remember to do something that makes you happy, whatever it is.
A word I didn't understand was solemnly. It means grave , sober or mirthless. He used this word to describe how your family is going to tell you to grow up and have a life.

Let's be game changers:

Disclaimer:  I don't fully agree with Essena Oneil's (the creator of the website) thoughts or actions. But I appreciate and feel passionate about most of the topics she is trying to bring awareness on.

10 Reasons Why Katniss Should Have Chosen Gale Over Peeta In the Hunger Games

I think you can barley notice my excitement  for the last Hunger Games movie. I can't wait to see it. I found an article on Teen Vogue where they said why Katniss should've chosen Gale instead of Peeta. I find it so funny and so true. The article is hilarious and it makes you question everything. Practically with this article you fall in love with Gale all over again.

Phrases you need to retire from your vocabulary

On this article they cover phrases such as:

"You're so ghetto"
"She's such a slut"
"That's so gay"
"I was so bad today"

They show you how important it is to eliminate those phrases from our vocabulary because they are offensive and disrespectful. In some way we all know this, but sometimes we choose to ignore it. So it's great to read it somewhere so we can create more of a conscience when it comes to this issues.
The word I didn't understand was preachy. It means tediously or pretentiously didactic.

Teen Vogue:

Just ask

This is an amazing talk. I think everyone can take a different thing from her. With this talk she brings up things I've never thought about. One word I didn't understood was the word used they used to describe her in a meme. The word is caveat. Caveat is a warning or caution.

I'm 17

I think Kate Simonds is absolutely right. And I really believe that everyone I know (teenagers) could identify with what she is saying. Most of the times we find adults telling us we are not old enough or mature enough to do something or to talk about an specific topic. And we need to change that because what we have to say is as important as anything any adult say. And lately I've been seeing some changes, but we need to keep things going. A word I didn't understood was adequacy. Adequacy is the state of sufficiency.

Lady Gaga on being herself

On this video Lady Gaga talks about the industry and how it changed her and made her unhappy. And how she now realizes that to be happy she needs to be true to herself and do what she loves and care about. A word I didn't understand was shallow. Shallow are things that aren't very deep or not profound. And she says she's sick of being shallow, because she has a lot more to offer.

Elephants are one of the most amazing animals in the world. It's upsetting to realize they are one of many species that are in danger of extinction. To be honest that makes me extremely sad. To anyone interested on this topic I recommend the WWF app where you can learn more about  animals and you can contribute to the cause. They give you different facts about each animal. And while I was reading about elephants, they mention what farmers do to protect their crops and protect the animals in the region. The word I didn't understand was smearing. It means o spread or daub on or over something.  I'm glad that farmers are aware of this problem and make their best to keep the elephants safe.
